Hula Bowl Appoints Paul Manera As Director Of Football Operations For Oceania

The Hula Bowl is pleased to announce that Paul Manera has accepted the position as Director of Football Operations for Australia and Oceania.  In this role, he will be responsible to recruit players from the region to participate in the Hula Bowl.   Paul will be also be member of the 2020 Hula Bowl staff as an assistant offensive line coach for the week leading up to the game.

Manera was a 3 year letterman for the University of Hawaii from 1989 to 1991 and has been coaching American Football for 28 years. He has coached at the highest level in Australia and has coached internationally in Japan. In 2011 & 2012, Manera served as the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach for the IFAF World Under 19’s Team.  He is also the Managing Director of Bring it on Sports which specialises in sports logistics, event management and coaching services.  They have organised and managed numerous national team camps, combines, international teams and sporting events and were the successful bid team for the 2019 IFAF World Championship of American Football.  The experience that Manera has gained through his company has contributed to his extensive knowledge of football operations.  

We are excited that there will be 2-3 places available to the Australia/Oceania region for the 2020 Hula Bowl!  We will be advertising a talent combine shortly which will be run in early December 2019.

 The Hula Bowl will be aired live on CBS sports on Sunday the 26th of January.
